About the role
We are currently seeking a passionate senior commercial counsel to join our team! You will be reporting to Delphine Groll, our co-founder and COO based in NY and will be at the center of our growth.
As Commercial Counsel, you will be responsible for all legal aspects for our direct sales efforts with Health Systems, hospitals, clinics and for our partnerships. You will play a strategic role in scaling Nabla legal and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our COO and CEO to define and be responsible for the legal strategy for our US based customers and partners.
- Lead drafting and negotiation of Nabla contracts for both direct sales and partnerships agreements with Health Systems, Hospitals, Clinics, EHRs companies.
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
- Provide training and develop resources in support of Nabla sales team.
- Coordinate and manage external counsel to resolve specialist issues.
- Collaborate closely with Business, Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to provide legal and regulatory support and to shepherd deals to execution.
- Collaborate in the development of business processes and procedures to help scale Nabla.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations
- Act as Data Protection Officer for the US market and customers
Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with:
- 3+ years experience in commercial law and in negotiations with large institutions
- Entrepreneurial mindset, accustomed to high-growth and sometime ambiguous environments. Ability to make sound decisions under time pressure with competing priorities
- Collaborative mindset to work with Sales, Product and Customer Success teams
- Creativity and resilience to navigate through the legal matters, for an ever evolving field
- Past experience in negotiating with health system is a plus
- Past experience in IP and/or data privacy are plus

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $180,000 to 240,000 (with equity in addition). However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.
